US-based researchers have developed a device that can switch cell function with a single touch of a chip on the affected part. It injects genetic code into cells to reprogram them and help treat diseases. The technology is 98% efficient and was used to grow brain cells on mice skin which were then injected into its injured brain, researchers said.
