Sanivation, a sanitation startup that installs in-home toilets in East Africa has started turning human waste into a fuel source. The startup collects human faeces from the toilets and processes it to create charcoal briquettes. The blocks made of human waste can reportedly burn longer than charcoal and firewood. The briquettes are also smokeless and have no smell.
